Video Breakdown

Cash's "Brown Paper Bag" is set in the grime of Central Johannesburg where every park or alley way is a dream setting. The video takes an almost improvisational approach to "a day in the life of a jozi boy" with the use of government parks, street corners, corner stores and project stairways. The editing style was inspired by the provocative lyrics pertaining to drug use. iBlind tried to recreate what would be perceived as a psychedelic or "trippy" experience, this was done by adjusting the hue back and forth rapidly assisted by the time velocity to give it more of a "lost perception of time" factor. Since the video did not have much of a script or a story to follow we had to make use of multiple creative transitions to make the visual content more appealing to the common viewer.
